Celebrating Entrepreneurship

On Tuesday, November 13th, Global Event Planners will be hosting a seminar “Resilient Entrepreneurs Create Viable Businesses and a Productive Economy”. This forms part of Global Entrepreneurs Week (GEW) 2018 activities.

The seminar will be held at the Grand Salle, Frank Collymore Hall, St. Michael’s Row, Bridgetown, from 9:30 a.m to 2:00 p.m. and will identify trends, challenges and opportunities to promote entrepreneurship, as well as creating an environment for business growth. The topic is timely and will contribute to the restructuring of the Barbados economy.

John Amb. has been selected as a member of the panel discussion, with a group of experts who understand the true meaning of Entrepreneurs’ Resilience, and will be part of the seminar which aims to suggest ways of creating the right environment for business growth, identifying initiatives, sharing strategies and proposing specific policies tailored to promote entrepreneurship.

The discussion will be aimed at fostering open dialogue on how to best harness the entrepreneurial spirit, through the Viability of Business in a Productive Economy and how to empower entrepreneurs to establish both business and social enterprises. Some of the Key areas for Sustainable Business Growth to be discussed:

  2. Purpose to drive growth.
  3. A consistent sense of focus.
  4. Continuous innovation.

Caribbean Centre of Excellence for Sustainable LivelihoodsDr. John, a representative of the Caribbean Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Livelihoods, a regional social enterprise based in Barbados, will speak on the topic – “The challenges Entrepreneurs face in sustainable growth and profitability”

The seminar will form part of Global Entrepreneurs Week (GEW), in partnership with the Barbados Youth Business Trust (BYBT), and will prove to be a powerful and educational learning experience for Entrepreneurs, Small and Micro Business Enterprises.

GEW is an initiative of Kauffman Foundation and UK Enterprise. It is a network of over 170 countries which work within that week to unleash entrepreneurship among young people.

Global Event Planners has been partnering with Global Entrepreneurship Week, which is in its 10th year, and will be celebrated around the world from November 13 – 19, 2018. What is this year’s theme?
